Shillong: Christians in Meghalaya Sunday joined their brethren the world over to celebrate Easter, while adhering to all safety and health protocols.

Easter marks the end of the period of Lent or suffering, and it is believed that Jesus Christ was resurrected after his crucifixion on Good Friday.

“On this blessed occasion of Easter, let us be thankful for all the blessings and rejoice that we are given a chance to experience all the abundance that life can give us. May it usher in a new beginning of greater prosperity, success, and happiness.
