Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang along with Rural Development Minister Sonam Lama on Friday inaugurated the system of e-Office on Friday.
The system has been devised by Department of Information Technology, it has been described by the IT authorities as a step towards digital administration, aimed at enhancing transparency, increasing accountability, ensuring data security and integrity, bringing about transformation in work culture and ethics, encouraging work from home culture, and as a check on missing files.
“This initiative is in line with our plan to bring Governance to the doorsteps. It needs to be implemented on a broader scale. Such facilities bring transparency,” said Chief Minister PS Tamang.
