Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion foiled narcotics smuggling in Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal district and seized 5.75 kgs WIY tablets worth about Rs 2.5 cr on Monday.
During routine checking at Permanent Vehicle Check Post Khudengthabi, troops of Assam Rifles checked a vehicle wherein 5.75 kgs WIY tablets sealed in five packets were found concealed inside the vehicle.
The driver fled from the spot before checking his vehicle.
The seized narcotics were handed over to Moreh Police Station for further investigation.
