Imphal: Manipur Police seized drugs worth about Rs 10 cr on Tuesday.
Imphal West SP Ksh Shivakanta displaying the seized items on Wednesday said 138 packets weighing about 136.03 kg were found in a truck. Sadiq Mohammad, a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan who was driving the truck was detained.
The drugs were hidden in a concealed compartment. Plywoods and other items were found in the truck.
Sadiq revealed that he was trying to transport the drugs to Jodhpur to deliver them to Om Prakash. A case was registered at Imphal police station.
The seized item is valued at around Rs 1.5 cr in the local market and Rs 10 cr in the international market.
