Pherzawl: The District Skill Committee, Pherzawl organised the District Skill and Employment Mela 2023 at the Ankhasuo Village Community Hall under the Vangai Range Sub-Division of Pherzawl District.
Speaking as Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner, Pherzawl Haulianlal Guite highlighted the need for the development of skill training in today’s competitive job market where public sector jobs are limited.
He urged the participants to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the state and federal governments, and he advised the youths to focus on developing the necessary skills for employability and self-sufficiency.
Stalls were opened by JCRE Skills Solution, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEITY), Ozone Pharmaceuticals Ltd., the Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI), the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), and the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET).
The event was attended, among others, by Th. Autumn, DFO Pherzawl Forest Division, and coordinated by Nepoleon Khwairakpam, MNGF Pherzawl, with the support of District Administration, Pherzawl. The mela was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
