Kakching: A District-Level Science Quiz Contest 2026 on the theme “Fostering Public Trust in Science” for students of Classes IX to XII studying in Government, Government-Aided and Recognised schools under the Zonal Education Office, Kakching was conducted today at the Library and Information Centre, Kakching district. The quiz contest was organised by the Zonal Education Office, Kakching under the Directorate of Education (S).
In the competition, Mayengbam Aditya Singh of Class XI and Yengkhom Sebarson Singh of Class X from Kakching Higher Secondary School secured the first position. Saintcyna Yengkhom and Khumbongmayum Bivarani, both from Class X of Mary Immaculate Catholic School secured the second position. Lanchenba Luwang and Lamjingba Salam, both from Class X of A.D.I. English School, secured the third position.
The function was graced by Kh. Binodini Devi (MES), DI of Schools, Zonal Education Office, Kakching as the Chief Guest and M. Rakhesh Singh (MES), Zonal Education Officer, Kakching as the President of the event.
The quiz contest was conducted by Ksh. Joykumar Singh, Assistant Professor at KMC, who served as the Quizmaster. Y. Lokendro Singh, AI of School ZEO Kakching and Ksh. Joykumar Singh, Assistant Professor, KMC attended the programme as Science experts. (DIO)
