Shillong: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of East Khasi Hills District has announced the release of rice under NFSA (AAY and PHH) and Non-NFSA, as well as wholemeal atta, for October 2024. These items will be available at the respective Fair Price Shops.
The AAY rice quota will be distributed at 35 kgs per card, while the PHH quota will be provided at 5 kgs per head, free of cost. Non-NFSA rice will be supplied at 7.105 kgs per household, priced between ₹12.70 and ₹13.00 per kg.
Wholemeal atta will be distributed at 5 kgs per card in urban areas and 3 kgs per card in rural areas, at ₹10.50 per kg.
Fair Price Shops have been instructed to begin distribution as soon as stock is available and to display beneficiary lists and shop operating hours. The Deputy Commissioner (Supply) has also urged all NFSA beneficiaries to provide their Aadhaar numbers to their Fair Price Shop dealers to ensure smooth use of the e-POS system.
Any issues such as non-supply, undersupply, overcharging, or poor-quality products should be reported to the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong.
