Kangpokpi: In connection with the upcoming General Elections to the Lok Sabha – 2024, a series of meetings were held on Monday at the Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The District Election Officer (DEO)/Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mahesh Chaudhari, on Monday, held a meeting with the representatives of recognised National and State political parties of the district at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.
Discussions were held regarding the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC), Election Expenditure Monitoring, and rate charts of items for use during the upcoming election among others. Discussions were also held regarding the Special Polling Stations.
Later, the DEO/DC also had a meeting with the banks to discuss various issues including the Election Seizure Management System (ESMS), which is a dedicated technology platform designed and developed to digitize data for intercepted/seized items (cash/liquor/drugs/ precious metal/freebies/other items) direct from the field through Mobile App during Model Code of Conduct. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex.
Regarding the upcoming General Elections to the Lok Sabha – 2024, a meeting of all the members of the Election Expenditure Monitoring (EEM) team was held on the same at the Training Hall, DC Office Complex. The members of the EEM namely the Flying Squad team, Static Surveillance team, Accounting team, Video Surveillance team and Video Viewing team attended the meeting.
On the other hand, the Additional District Magistrate held a meeting with the Displaced Employees who are at present attached/have reported to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi in the Conference Hall of the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Office, Kangpokpi.
