Bishnupur: District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Ranjan Yumnam chaired a series of meetings Tuesday at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur to review election preparedness in the district.
During the meeting, Ranjan Yumnam urged ROs and District Nodal Officers to work with utmost zeal and in close coordination while performing their assigned responsibilities so as to ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming State Assembly Election in the district.
In the meeting with the district SVEEP Core Committee members, the meeting deliberated on upcoming workshops, training and sensitization campaigns to be carried out under SVEEP program. The DEO also requested SVEEP members to produce multimedia content as part of voter awareness and voter education campaigns.
Later another round of meetings was held with the District Nodal Officers (DNOs) wherein pertinent matters concerning material, manpower, medical, transportation managements, election expenditure monitoring among other issues, are discussed at length. Stating that Bishnupur district got the distinction for peaceful elections in the past, Ranjan Yumnam encouraged DNOs to work with dedication to sustain the district’s reputation.
Separate round of meetings with College Principals and Sector Officers to be chaired by the DEO is also scheduled for Wednesday. ADC, Addl SP and Election Officer were also present in today’s meetings.
