Srinagar:Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Monday called the delimitation a “process of tactical rigging” before the commencement of elections.
Reacting to the Supreme Court verdict dismissing the plea challenging the delimitation exercise carried out in Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba while talking to media persons in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today said “whatever the decision has come will not affect us in anyway”.
“Delimitation is a tactical process of rigging before the commencement of the election to convert majority in minority and minority in majority in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party”, Mehbooba added .
She said they have already rejected the delimitation commission. “Whatever the decision has come will not affect us in anyway”, she added.
The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said that the reorganization Act including Article 370 is already pending before the Supreme Court and how could they give their decision on the delimitation issue, she questioned.
She said they have not participated in discussions even about the delimitation and have already rejected it out rightly right from the start.
