New Delhi: Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a Caveat before the Supreme Court, urging it not to pass any order without hearing the investigation agency in the plea filed by Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader, K Kavitha challenging the summons issued by it for questioning & seeking protection from arrest in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, which is listed for March 24.
After Kavitha, Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Telangana, did not appear on March 16, for questioning by the ED officials, the agency issued fresh date of summons for March 20 (Tomorrow) for her to appear before the probe agency office in New Delhi.
A caveat, a legal document, is a caution made by a party to a court in order to prevent the Court from taking any specific action or awarding any relief to the opposition party without first allowing the caveator an opportunity to be heard.
