Kangpokpi: The District Administration of Kangpokpi, led by Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, convened a meeting with officials from the Integrated Rural Management Association (IRMA), an NGO, at the DC Conference Hall.
The focus was on organizing mass campaigns against child marriage, child labor, and child trafficking in the district.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, included District Level Officers, the District Child Protection Officer, and members of the Child Welfare Committee. Both the Chief Medical Officer and the District Child Protection Officer reported that no such cases have been documented in the district thus far.
In response, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Transport Officials to be vigilant in vehicle checks and to establish a check post promptly.
IRMA Secretary T. Lamjaneng requested the District Administration to appoint a District Nodal Officer to coordinate awareness campaigns in schools, colleges, and relief camps.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that the District Administration of Kangpokpi would provide full support to IRMA and other NGOs in their efforts to eradicate child marriage, child labor, and child trafficking.
