Itanagar: Covid19 recoveries continue to exceed single-day cases in Arunachal Pradesh as the hilly state on Monday saw 47 patients getting recuperated from the disease as against 17 new infections, according to a senior health official.
With this, Arunachal Pradesh’s active Covid19 cases came down to 450 comprised 0.68 percent of the total confirmed cases, State Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Dr. Lobsang Jampa said.
The state’s overall case tally stood at 65,824 while the total number of recoveries shot up to 65,078. The recovery rate also improved a bit to 98.87 percent and with 296 fatalities, the death rate remained at 0.45 percent, he said.
Of the fresh cases, seven were reported from Dibang Valley, three each from Lohit and Itanagar Capital Complex, and one each from Leparada, Tawang, West Kameng, and West Siang. Five of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 12 symptomatic, Dr. Jampa said.
The state has tested merely 96 samples during the last 24 hours that taking the cumulative number of samples tested so far to 12,82,950.
On the inoculation front, the state has administered more than 18.05 lakh vaccine doses to its eligible citizens to date, State Immunization Officer Dr. Dimong Padung said.
