Gangtok: Sikkim, in the huge vaccination drive has so far inoculated 1,74,152 people, Sonam Bhutia, IEC Health said here on Thursday.
Sikkim consists of more than 6 lakh population.
In Capital, the Vaccination drive is going on in Paljour Stadium. Those above 65 and above 45 years of age have different Doctors and sisters assisting them. All the eligible are asked to show their Adhaar card and give phone numbers and get Jab in turns. No one is allowed to leave without proper instructions for appropriate aftermath behaviour.
‘Please do not take alcohol for 7 days, to prevent a medicine from having a proper impact. Continue adopting COVID appropriate behaviour. Those having taken the first dose may like to come for second from 42nd to 56 days,’ said Dr Manisha Rai, Deputy Director, Urban PHC.
