Itanagar: Covid-19 recoveries continue to surpass single-day infections in Arunachal Pradesh.
The state saw 80 recoveries as against 58 new positive cases during the past 24 hours shrinking its active caseload to 367, a health official said on Saturday.
On Friday, the state reported 60 fresh Covid cases and 71 recoveries.
With the addition of the fresh cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases rose to 66,164 while the 80 recoveries pushed the total number of recovered cases to 65,501, State Surveillance Officer-IDSP Dr. Lobsang Jampa said.
Sixteen of the news cases were found in Namsai, six each in Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Subansiri, five in Anjaw, and four in West Kameng while Changlang, East Siang, and Lower Dibang Valley contracted three apiece, the Directorate of Health Services said.
Fifteen of the total cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 43 symptomatic.
The state had collected 332 samples for Covid-19 testing during the last 24 hours that taking the cumulative figure to 12,84,990.
The state’s Covid death toll remained at 296.
