Imphal: Manipur saw the biggest surge of 45 positive cases in months in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday.
During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related deaths while 17 persons recovered, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 45 persons who tested positive from the general population, 21 are from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, three from Bishnupur and two each from Kakching, Chandel and Churachandpur. Altogether, 290 persons were tested, amounting to a positivity rate of 15.5 %.
Of the 17 persons who recovered, 14 are from home isolation and three from Shija hospital. The recovery rate of the state as of Tuesday stands at 98.33 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 37, 484 out of which 1, 35, 192 have recovered leaving 172 active cases in the state.
As on July 10, 2022, 112 D-type oxygen cylinders and 0 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on July 11, 2022, are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 14 beds out of which five are occupied while nine are vacant. RIMS has 47 beds out of which one is occupied and 46 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on July 10, is 174, the cumulative number of doses administered is 29,84,478 (1st dose 15,98,079, 2nd dose 12,66,546) and precautionary dose is 1,19,853.
