Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, Manipur reported 46 positive cases, 152 recoveries. During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related death in the state, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 46 persons who tested positive, 16 are from Imphal West, nine from Imphal East, six from Ukhrul, four from Chandel, three each from Churachandpur and Thoubal, two from Kakching and one each from Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Pherzawl. Altogether, 638 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 7.2 %.
Meanwhile, 152 persons recovered, 105 from home isolation, 40 discharge, and three from RIMS, two each from JNIMS and SHRI. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.26 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 295 out of which 1, 36,865 have recovered leaving 297 active cases in the state.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as of August 5, 2022, are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which 16 are occupied and 22 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 19 are occupied and 43 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on August 4, is 4,062, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,22,622 (1st dose 16,18,418, 2nd dose 12,90,305) and precautionary dose is 2,13,898.
