Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh continues to see more COVID-19 recoveries than the daily fresh cases as the pandemic situation in the Himalayan state is on the wane.
The Northeastern state recorded 10 new COVID-19 positive cases during the past 24 hours that increased its tally of confirmed cases to 55,190. On the other hand, 13 people have recuperated from the disease in the period taking the total number of recoveries to 54,864, a senior health official said.
Of the fresh cases, West Kameng accounted for three and Shi-Yomi two, while one case each came from Lohit, Lower Subansiri, Siang, Tawang and West Siang. Seven of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and three symptomatic, he said.
Meanwhile, 5,272 people across the state were administered the COVID-19 vaccine doses during the last 24 hours that taking the cumulative vaccination coverage to 13,39,901.
So far, 7,79,925 adult people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 5,59,976 have been given both the doses of anti-COVID vaccine since the launch of the countrywide inoculation drive on January 16 last.
