COVID-19: Global death toll tops 2.76 million

Washington: The global death toll from the novel corona virus infection has surpassed 2.761 million, while the total number of cases have exceeded 125.8 million, said the US-based Johns Hopkins University.
The Johns Hopkins University is the most credible global institution which tracks and compiles data related to the novel coronavirus.
As of 20:20 GMT Friday(0150 IST, Saturday), the number of cases globally stood at 125,864,307, including 2,761,409 fatalities.
