Covid-19: Delhi records zero fatality for straight eight days, reports 57 new cases

New Delhi: For the eighth consecutive day on Wednesday, the national capital recorded zero deaths due to COVID while the city recorded 57 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, the Delhi government’s latest health bulletin said.

This month so far, only 1 fatality, on September 7, has been reported.

The latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 14,38,345 while the death toll had maintained at 25,083, government data showed.

The daily positivity rate stood at 0.08 per cent while 76,199 Covid-19 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, the health department stated.

Meanwhile, 53 more people recovered from the viral illness in the last 24 hours and 95 individuals remain in home isolation, the data showed.

Total 404 Covid-19 cases remain active in the city, it added

The cumulative positivity rate in the national capital has been assessed at 5.39 per cent while the case fatality rate (cumulative) is recorded at 1.74 per cent, it added.
