New Delhi: For the fourth consecutive day, Delhi reported 0 fatalities due to Covid-19 while 17 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the health bulletin the Delhi government issued on Monday.
The latest infection cases are the lowest single-day rise reported this year so far in the national capital.
The new cases have pushed the tally to over 14,37,334. Of this, over 14,11,881 lakh patients have recovered from the disease, the bulletin added.
However, the death toll is maintained at 25,079 for the last four days, according to the health bulletin data.
It was the 14th occasion when the city logged 0 death since the start of the second wave of Covid-19.
Since August 1, the country’s capital has recorded 26 deaths in the month. The cumulative death toll stood on July 31 was 25,053.
However, the low number of cases can also be attributed to fewer tests (46,251) conducted the previous day.
According to Covid19India.org, a crowdsourced initiative that collects data on Covid-19 and vaccination in India, the national capital had reported 9 cases on March 28, 2020.
A similar count of daily Covid-19 infection was earlier recorded last year on April 15 when the city had reported 17 cases in a day.
