COVID-19: Arunachal reports 47 new cases

Nine of the fresh cases were reported from Tawang, eight from Itanagar Capital Complex, six from Lower Dibang Valley and five from Changlang.

Itanagar:Arunachal Pradesh on Friday registered 47 new COVID-19 cases that took the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 53,990.

Nine of the fresh cases were reported from Tawang, eight from Itanagar Capital Complex, six from Lower Dibang Valley and five from Changlang.

Of the total cases, 21 were found to be asymptomatic and 26 symptomatic, according to a bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services here.

Meanwhile, 56 persons have recuperated during the last 24 hours that increased the total number of recovered cases to 53,183.

With no report of any fresh casualty in the period, Arunachal’s case fatalities remain unaltered at 271, as per the bulletin.

The state has 536 active COVID-19 cases, which comprised 0.99 per cent of the total infections. State’s recovery rate stands at 98.50 per cent, it said.
