COVID-19: Arunachal reports 19 new COVID-19 cases

So far 277 people have died of COVID-19 infections in the Northeastern state.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh recorded 19 fresh COVID-19 cases and an identical number of recoveries during the past 24 hours, a senior Health department official said on Wednesday.

With the addition of new cases, the state’s tally of infections mounted to 54,771, while the 19 recuperations took the total number of recovered cases to 54,080.

East Siang reported the highest four cases, while Itanagar Capital Complex and Anjaw detected three cases each and Lower Dibang Valley two. Eight of the fresh cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 11 symptomatic.

Arunachal Pradesh has currently 414 active COVID-19 cases, with Lower Dibang Valley topping the chart with 72 cases, followed by Lohit at 70, West Kameng (68), Tawang (48) and East Siang (41).

So far 277 people have died of COVID-19 infections in the Northeastern state.

Meanwhile, more than 6,500 beneficiaries were administered COVID-19 vaccine doses across the state during the last 24 hours taking the cumulative number of vaccinations to 12.08 lakh.
