Imphal: Assam Rifles recovered contraband worth ₹5.84 crore in two different seizures at Track junction and Khulmulen village, District Chandel in Manipur on 4 and 5 August.
A total of 10.642 kg of Heroin worth ₹5.38 crore and 8.260 kg of poppy worth ₹56 Lakh were recovered by the personnel from an abandoned bag and two wheeler during the search.
The recovered items have been handed over to Chakpikarong Police Station for further investigations. The recovery has prevented major anti national activities in Manipur during these times of unrest.
