Imphal: On October 20, 2024, the Indian Army held a commemorative event at Khurkul in Imphal West District and Bethel High School in Moreh, Tengnoupal District, Manipur, to honour the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1962 Sino-India War.
The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and respect for the Indian Armed Forces.
The program began with a solemn tribute to the fallen heroes, marked by the lighting of a ceremonial lamp. A detailed presentation followed, recounting the historical significance of the day and sharing inspiring stories of the courageous soldiers who upheld the values and traditions of the Indian Army. The young students in attendance were encouraged to take inspiration from the selfless service and bravery of these national heroes.
