Imphal: Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh greeted the people of the state, especially the Muslim community on the occasion of the holy month of Ramzan.
In his message, Biren Singh said, “Ramzan is a somber period of spiritual reflection, daylight fasting and increased charitable behaviour for Muslims”.
“The sacred month brings about community togetherness and kindles the passion of giving. For believers of Islam, fasting and praying to Allah during Ramzan purifies one’s mind, body, heart and soul”, he added.
Biren Singh called on all to imbibe Prophet Mohammad’s teachings of promoting peace and enduring happiness of humanity and prayed that the holy month of Ramzan takes Manipur to peace and normalcy.
