Imphal: Samagra Shiksha Manipur, successfully concluded the “State Level Kala Utsav Competition 2024-2025” with a simple closing ceremony held Tuesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy, Khoyathong, Imphal West, Manipur.
The event was attended by L. Nandakumar Singh, Director of Education (S) and State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, Manipur, as the chief guest. During his address, Nandakumar highlighted that Kala Utsav, an initiative launched by the Ministry of Education in 2015, is celebrating its 10th edition this year. He also shared that the National Level Kala Utsav will take place in January 2025 in Bhopal.
In his remarks, Nandakumar emphasized Manipur’s rich heritage in both arts and sports, expressing pride in the state’s continued participation at the National Level Kala Utsav since 2020. He encouraged this year’s winners to represent Manipur at the upcoming national competition.
The event also included the distribution of prizes to the competition’s winners, honouring their talents and dedications.
Other distinguished attendees included Khumukcham Renuka, Additional State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha (Secondary); Soraisham David Singh, Additional State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha (Elementary); Bisheshwar Khumukcham, Additional Director, Education (S)/Valley; Dangmei Manglem, Additional Director, Education (S)/Hills; Bobby Moirangthem, Finance Controller, Samagra Shiksha; and Sanatombi Bachaspatimayum, Chief Finance Officer, Directorate of Education (S) Government of Manipur, who joined as the president and guests of honours respectively.
The State-level Kala Utsav Competition is a platform to celebrate and nurture artistic talent across Manipur, reinforcing the state’s commitment to cultural and artistic excellence.
