Chandel Deputy Commissioner launches Sampoornata Abhiyan

Chandel: Chandel’s Deputy Commissioner, Mayanglambam Raj Kumar, inaugurated the Sampoornata Abhiyan at the Multipurpose Hall of the Mini Secretariat in Chandel District Headquarters on Thursday. 

The initiative, organized by the District Administration Chandel in collaboration with NITI Aayog, aims to achieve comprehensive development across five key indicators: Health, Nutrition, Social Welfare, Education, and Agriculture within a focused three-month period from July 4th to September 30th.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Mayanglambam Raj Kumar emphasized the campaign’s goal of achieving significant milestones in these areas through a meticulously planned action agenda. He called upon all District Level Officers (DLOs) under the Chandel District Administration to diligently pursue this mission and encouraged them to openly discuss any challenges they may encounter.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner urged the Health and ICDS staff of Chandel District to collaborate closely for the effective implementation of programs like supplementary nutrition for pregnant women. He also called upon all officials present to prepare detailed task plans to ensure the smooth execution of the Sampoornata Abhiyan.

The event, graced by dignitaries including ADC Chandel Md Firoz Khan, SDOs Md Gayajudin Khan and Md Tajudin, CMO Dr. Mathew Joyson Monsang, DPO/ICDS Srimati Pratibha Khoiyumthem, ZEO Yumnam Khemchand, District Agricultural Officer Srimati Ts Gladney Monsang, ADP Education Hrangbung Starson Anal, and Piramal Foundation Manager N. Chandrakumar Singh, also featured the distribution of Soil Health Cards to ten farmers. Screening for diabetes and hypertension, soil testing, the inauguration of an ICDS counter, and a Sampoornata pledge led by the DC were additional highlights of the occasion.
