Imphal: T. Ranjit Singh, Chairperson, Manipur Staff Selection Commission (MSSC) called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Monday and gave a detailed briefing on the functions and duties of the newly constituted Commission. The Governor asked the Chairman to expedite ways for full functioning of the Commission.
Dr. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) also called on Governor at Raj Bhavan. They briefed the Governor on the milestones and achievements of the institute as a premier healthcare facility not only for Manipur but also for the Northeastern region. The Governor appreciated the continuous efforts of the institute to provide the best healthcare facilities in the region and asked to continue their efforts in the best interest of the people.

During the meeting, it was discussed that launching the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan from Raj Bhavan would be a meaningful and impactful collaborative effort to benefit the people and promote a drug-free society.
Dinesh Khatik, State Minister, Jal Shakti, Government of Uttar Pradesh called on the Governor of Manipur at Raj Bhavan and invited the Governor to the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj. The Maha Kumbh Mela is celebrated every 12 years and holds immense cultural heritage and religious significance.
