Book on Arunachal’s cultural heritage released

Advisor to Arunachal Pradesh Tourism Minister, Laisam Simai and US Consul General in Kolkata, Melinda Pavek jointly released the unique book in a function held at the State Guest House here on Friday.

Itanagar: The US Consulate General, Kolkata, in association with non-profit Contact Base and Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, has released a book titled ‘The Arunachalis – Living with Nature’, documenting the cultural heritage of 17 indigenous communities of the Northeastern State.

Supported by the US Department of State’s Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, release of this book-publication is part of the project titled “Safeguarding of Traditional Culture and Lifestyle of Indigenous People in Arunachal Pradesh for Sustainable Development”.
