Imphal: BJP’s national spokesperson and incharge of Manipur Sambit Patra on Thursday tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Patra, who has been staying at Classic Grande Hotel here for last couple of days, was found positive and has been advised to shift to a hospital, sources said.
This is the second time that the saffron leader has been diagnosed with Covid-19. During the first wave in May 2020, Patra was admitted in a private hospital in Gurgaon after he showed symptoms of coronavirus, sources said.
It may be noted he has participated in many political programs including the launching of various development projects by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on January 4.
