Ranaghat: All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) national general Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday alleged the BJP is trying to deceive the masses in the name of CAA.
Banerjee said by bringing up CAA, BJP is dishonouring the people of Bongaon and Ranaghat.
“They pledged to put CAA into effect before the 2019 elections. The regulations still haven’t been framed after 3 years,” he said.
Addressing a public meeting here, Banerjee gave a strong political message, “If anyone acts like goons or hooligans, I will oust you from the party within an hour.”
Promising a peaceful, legitimate and democratic Panchayat elections, the AITC secretary appealed
to the people to lend their support in the upcoming polls.
A large number of people gathered to show their support and shower their love on the National General Secretary, while he was on his way to Ranaghat.
The ruling Trinamool Congress did not get many votes from the entire Nadia district except Krishnanagar in the last assembly elections.
“As the general secretary of the party, please forgive me if there are any mistakes. Discipline the boy of the house but don’t turn away. Migratory birds will not be seen after the vote but Mamata Banerjee will be. For some people, Nadia has turned away from the Trinamool Congress since the assembly elections. Do not be afraid, I am in charge of surveillance,” Banerjee said
Talking about the panchayat elections, he said that the voting will be free.
“I am responsible. Modi-Shah tried to intimidate the ED-CBI. I have gone head high in the past and will continue to do so in the future. There will be no wall between you and me. Talk to me directly. No leaders needed,” the AITC general secretary said.
