Agartala:The BJP-led government in Tripura has already provided 24,033 jobs in its 58 months rule while 17,916 posts have been waiting to be filled up, as the finance department gave concurrence for recruitment, said information minister Sushanta Chowdhury here on Friday.
Talking to the media he said the figure of jobs provided by the BJP-IPFT government included 17,686 Regular, Fixed Pay jobs, 8103 contractual jobs, 1329 die-in-harness jobs, and 5879 outsourcing jobs in various government departments despite being hit by Covid19 for almost one and half years.
Chowdhury hit out at the opposition parties and claimed Tripura has not seen such a huge number of employees in five years in the last three decades. Besides, employees’ pay scales were upgraded as per the recommendation of the 7th central pay commission with all benefits, and 20 per cent DA has been given in the last six months, which is also historic.
The minister said the process for recruitment of 6000 Special Executives under the home department, 5000 multi-tasking workers from JRBT aspirants, 3000 TET teachers, and 1000 Police Constables is underway and added, “The last five years of left front government had given only 13,657 jobs were given in Left regime between 2013 and 2017”.
The opposition parties have been misleading the common masses with concocted facts and figures about employment and the promises BJP had made before the last assembly elections. However, on scrutiny, it was found that the success of this government in such a short time is exemplary and the government will bring it to public domain soon, by which they (CPM and Congress) will be isolated further in society, Chowdhury claimed.
He further informed that as per the government’s decision, over a thousand of the TET-qualified teachers who attained five years of service have been put on a regular pay scale from this month. And, BJP has not shifted from its promised stand toward the development of human resources or infrastructure.
