Biren cabinet approves hiring of primary and secondary school teachers in Manipur

Imphal: The state cabinet, led by N Biren Singh, decided Tuesday to form a cell to combat the unregulated deposit scheme, or BUDS. To strengthen this institutional finance, an assistant director and one UDC will be engaged. The cabinet has also approved the recruitment of 1140 pre-primary teachers and 500 graduate teachers. 

Minister, IPR, S. Ranjan, during a press conference held here, informed that the cabinet has approved the renaming of 15 revenue villages in the Jiribam district.  

Pakhal in Dibong GP will be renamed as Ningthemkhunjao, Kadamtala as Kadampokpi, Champanagar as Leihaopokpi, etc. He added that fifty more acres of land will be purchased directly at Sangai Ethnic Park in Moirang Khunpu in order to expand and upgrade the park.

The cabinet also approved the re-engagement of service for some employees on the basis of their experiments and requirements. Executive Engineer, Civil (retired) T. Robindro Singh will be re-engaged as project consultant of the Eklavya Model Residential School, and the re-engagement of three employees of the Taxation Department, namely Th. Agang Kabui, Th. Brojendro Singh, and E. Kamal Singh, have been approved for six months. 

The Controller of the Household, Raj Bhawan, E. Nilamani, will be re-engaged for one year. EE of RD and PR, Kh. Rajendro Singh, will be engaged as EE, MOBEDS on deputation, the minister added.

The cabinet also approved the Kaina Temple Board to look after and manage the affairs of the temple. The Cabinet also decided to implement the vehicle scrapping policy in the state. Some unlisted agenda items were also discussed in Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting in the public interest.
