Imphal: The State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, has approved framing the Manipur Teacher Educator Service Rules 2024. Additionally, the Cabinet decided to increase the upper age limit for the Chairman and members of the Manipur Lokayukta from 70 to 72 years, as recommended by the Selection Committee.
It also approved the creation of eight additional posts for the Manipur Judicial Academy, according to IPR Minister Sapam Ranjan Singh during a statement at his residence on Friday.
The Cabinet also approved the allotment of land for the Directorate of SCERT to establish the DIET in Imphal West and for the Directorate of Health Services Manipur to construct a Sub-District Hospital and Primary Health Centre at Moreh.
The establishment of the Manipur Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Council received affirmation from the Cabinet with the prior assent of the Governor of Manipur. The Cabinet also approved the rectification of the pay level for the post of Consultant (Finance/Procurement) under the IDSP of the State Health Department, as well as a one-time relaxation for promotion to the post of Secretariat Assistant from eligible employees of the Manipur Public Service Commission.
Extensions were granted for the contractual engagement of S Nabachandra Sharma, Coordinator under the Art and Culture Department, and the re-engagement of a retired Principal Private Secretary/Private Secretary in the General Administrative Department (GAD) of the Manipur Secretariat for a period of one year.
Amendments to the Manipur Start Up – CMESSS guidelines and the CM Farmers Livelihood Support Scheme were also approved. The Cabinet resolved to take necessary actions for the operationalization of the newly established Manipur Electricity Regulatory Commission (MnERC) in line with Section 82 of the Electricity Act, 2003.
During the meeting, the Cabinet discussed some unlisted items in addition to the 23 listed agendas, with certain topics differing from those initially planned.
