Raipur: Amid a political tug of war in Chhattisgarh, state Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu has said “Bhupesh Baghel is the Chief Minister and will continue holding the post.”
Following the Congress victory in the 2018 assembly elections, Mr Sahu had himself staked a claim for chief ministership.
“In Chhattisgarh, the individual who becomes the Chief Minister completes the tenure. Every state has different circumstances – a chief minister may change in four months or remain in office for 15 years,” Sahu told the press in Pendra on Sunday.
