Gamnom Saparmeina: Ayushman Bharat Diwas was celebrated in Kangpokpi district Friday to mark the 4th year anniversary celebration of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The celebration was held at the Gamnom Saparmeina Community Hall in Saitu Gamphazol.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was launched on September 23, 2018 with an aim to provide free access to health insurance to the low-income group in the country.
Around 78 students of 12 government schools participated in the district level slogan writing and painting competition which was held as a part of the celebration organised by the State Health Agency in collaboration with the District Administration Kangpokpi, ZEO and Nodal Officer CMHT/ PMJAY of the district.
Kengoo Zuringla, Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi in presence of Sapam Bishwojit Singh, SDO, Saitu Gamphazol presented certificates and cash incentives to the winning participants of both the competitions.
Two recipients of the State Teachers’ Award from the district namely Seikholen Singsit (Science Graduate Teacher), Headmaster in-charge of Keithelmanbi Government High School and Kharga Prasad Prasain (Hindi Graduate Teacher), Headmaster of Bishnulal High School were also felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner during the function.
It may be mentioned that 7 (seven) teachers, including both the teachers were honoured with the award by Education Minister Th. Basanta Kumar Singh during the State Level Teachers’ Day Celebration, 2022 held at City Convention Centre in Imphal.
