Awarness programme on CMHT, AB-PMJAY held for Idps at Waikhong

Kakching: A one-day awareness programme for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) on the Chief Minister-Gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was held today at the SDO Waikhong Office, Kakching.

The programme was organised by the District Implementation Unit (DIU) in collaboration with the State Health Agency/State Nodal Cell, Manipur. The objective of the programme was to inform and educate participants about the CMHT and AB-PMJAY schemes and to increase awareness and understanding of their benefits among the community as well as officials.

The programme was graced by Arvind Hanglem (IAS) – SDO Waikhong , Irengbam Michael Singh – IT Manager, SHA, Dr. Gaishing – Investigation Doctor, L. Olempus Singh, DCO, Imphal West , Soibam Rajesh Singh – DCO DPC DIU Kakching District and Dr. Ningthoujam Brojendro Singh, MO in charge CHC Kakching as dignitaries.

Arvind Hanglem (IAS) while addressing the gathering, elaborated on the enrollment procedures, eligibility criteria, and necessary documents required to avail benefits under the Chief Minister-Gi Hakshelgi Tengbang and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

Speaking on the occasion, Irengbam Michael Singh spoke in detail about the CMHT and AB-PMJAY health cards, stating that the schemes enable beneficiaries to avail healthcare benefits and improve access to medical services, particularly for internally displaced persons (IDPs). He urged the gathering to approach the District Implementation Unit (DIU) in case of any issues while using the cards to ensure timely assistance.

He further stated that eligible beneficiaries must complete proper verification to obtain scheme cards and highlighted that AB-PMJAY offers cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals with coverage of up to Rs. 5 lakh per family annually, while CMHT provides assistance for various medical treatments within the state.
