Assam Rifles rescues lady from getting electrocuted in Manipur

The hospital and village authorities appreciated and expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the swift and timely action that saved the lady's life.

Imphal: A lady named Sepan Mancha, 55, was collecting scrap items near an electric transformer at Khulmi Bazar, Sugnu vill of Kakching District at around 1300 hrs on 17 April 2024. She accidentally came in contact with a live wire.

The troops of Assam Rifles deployed nearby rushed to the location and swiftly rescued the lady from the incident area and evacuated her to Primary Health Centre, Sugnu.  Due to the timely rescue and with the care at the Sugnu PHC the lady was saved and her condition is now stable.

The hospital and village authorities appreciated and expressed their gratitude towards Assam Rifles for the swift and timely action that saved the lady’s life.
