Imphal: Assam Rifles organised a Joint Security Coordination Meeting at Moreh, Tengnoupal District on Saturday.
The meeting, chaired by the Commandant of Assam Rifles, aimed to enhance security cooperation and intelligence sharing among various law enforcement agencies. SSP (Combat Ops), SP Tengnoupal, SDPO Moreh, as well as representatives from the Army, RAF, CRPF, and BSF attended the meet.
Discussions centred on strategies to bolster security measures and increase seamless coordination among security agencies. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of Assam Rifles and allied agencies towards maintaining peace and security in the area.
On the same day, during a joint search operation by Assam Rifles, BSF, Manipur Police and RAF in Namkhai Veng, Moreh, Tengnoupal District an unattended carton was discovered concealed in bushes behind the IB and Helipad area. Upon investigation 20,000 WIY tablets were found inside the carton.
Extensive searches were carried out in the vicinity and no further items were discovered.
The recovered tablets, valued at approximately 1,00,00,000 (1 crore) have been handed over to the Moreh Police station for further action, according to a press note from the PRO, IGAR(S).
