Assam CM calls on Shah

''I have sought an advance fund from NDRF to help these affected people whose houses were fully damaged," he said.

New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah here on Friday.

During the meeting, the CM briefed the Union Home Minister about the flood situation in Assam.

“Today, I met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him about the flood situation in the state,” Sarma told reporters at Assam House here.
The CM informed that he has also apprised Shah that around 30,000 to 40,000 houses were fully damaged by the deluge.

”I have sought an advance fund from NDRF to help these affected people whose houses were fully damaged,” he said.

The CM further said, “Centre’s door is always open. Whatever we will legally and logically present we will get it.”

The state government will give an actual picture of the damages caused so that it gets the exact funds, he added.
