Arunachal reports 53 new COVID cases, 64 recoveries

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday registered 53 new cases of COVID-19 that mounted the state’s tally of cases to 53,604, according to a bulletin issued by the Health Services Directorate here.

Fourteen of the fresh cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, nine from East Siang, six from Papum Pare and five from West Kameng.

Twenty-three of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and 30 symptomatic, as per the bulletin.

On the other hand, 64 people have recvered during the past 24 hours that further decreased the state’s active caseload to 606. So far, 52,729 people have recovered from the ailment.

The COVID recovery rate stands at 98.37 per cent, while the positivity rate is 1.13 per cent.

So far, 269 people have died of COVID-19 infections in the frontier state.
