Arunachal reports 344 Covid positive cases; one succumb

Itanagar: As many as 344 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 35,571, while the death toll rose to 168 as one more succumbed to the virus.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 84, followed by Kurung Kumey 62 and Upper Subansiri 29, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Barring 162, all the patients are symptomatic.

According to the bulletin, an 85-year-old Covid-19 patient expired on Tuesday at his residence at Jeko village, Sunpura under Lohit district. The body was handed over to the family by maintaining Covid-19 SOP.

On a positive note, 233 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 32,716.

Active case tally stands at 2,687.
