Itanagar: As many as 342 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 47,142 while the death toll rose to 224 as three more succumbed to the virus.
According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported a maximum number of cases at 109, followed by Lower Subansiri 48, East Siang 23, West Kameng 22, Papum Pare 14, Upper Subansiri, Lower Dibang Valley and Lohit 13 each, Upper Siang and West Siang 10 each.
Nine cases were also reported from Tawang and Lower Siang, Namsai eight, Shi-Yomi seven, Changlang six, Anjaw and Siang five each, Kamle four, East Kameng and Tirap three each, Pake Kessang two, Kra Daadi, Kurung Kumey, Leparada and Dibang Valley one each.
Of these, 137 patients are symptomatic and 205 asymptomatic.
As per the bulletin, of the three deaths, one each was reported from Changlang, Lohit and Itanagar Capital Complex.
On the other hand, the recoveries tally rose to 42,617 as 325 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.
Active cases tally stands at 4,301.
