Arunachal reports 14 new Covid cases

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported 14 fresh Covid19 cases, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 66,599, a senior health official said.

With 25 patients getting recuperated from the disease during the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered cases rose to 66,207.

Following this, Arunachal’s active Covid caseload declined below the 100-mark to be at 96, State Surveillance Officer-IDSP Dr Lobsang Jampa said.
Of the new cases, seven were reported from Namsai, three from West Kemeng and two from Kamle, and one each from Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Dibang Valley.

Eleven of the total cases turned out to be symptomatic and three asymptomatic, he said.

The day’s positivity rate was 8.64 percent against the previous day’s 8.58 percent.

The state’s Covid recovery rate improved to 99.41 percent while the overall case positivity rate ebbed to 0.14 percent. The fatality rate remained at 0.44 percent, Dr Jampa said.
