Arunachal: Pasighat ‘set’ to host monthly e-Pragati meeting

The Chief Minister interacts with the Govt officials including deputy commissioners and field officers to review the progress of important central and state government projects and schemes through video conferencing.

Itanagar: The centurion town Pasighat, the headquarters of East Siang district, is all set to host the monthly e-Pragati meeting. For the first time, the monthly e-Pragati meeting will be of two-day affairs. It is scheduled to start on Sunday, official sources said.

On this platform, the Chief Minister interacts with the Govt officials including deputy commissioners and field officers to review the progress of important central and state government projects and schemes through video conferencing.

“The Xth Arunachal e-Pragati meeting is scheduled to be held at the College of Horticulture & Forestry (CHF) Auditorium, Pasighat from Dec 19 to 20 to review the progress of all major developmental projects & flagship Central & State sponsored programmes,” informed East 
Siang District Planning Officer T Mibang.

The two-day meeting, to be chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, will also take up for deliberations on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) besides various developmental issues, he said.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Commissioners, Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners from the districts, among others, will attend the e-Pragati meeting.

The monthly monitoring and review meeting of the State Government is for promoting pro-active governance and ensuring timely implementation of projects & schemes for the benefit of the people, Mibang said.

The e-Pragati meeting is being organized by the Department of Finance, Planning & Investment, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with the East Siang district administration, he added.
