Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh has recorded 49 new COVID-19 cases, 29 recoveries and one more death from Coronavirus during the last 24 hours, a senior health official said.
The latest casualty was reported from the Lower Subansiri district, while the fresh virus cases took the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 54,444.
Among the new cases, 12 were detected in the Lohit district and eight in Lower Dibang Valley. Five cases each came from Lower Subansiri, Namsai and Tirap, while four cases were found in Itanagar Capital Complex.
Of the total cases, 25 were found to be asymptomatic and 24 symptomatic. The state has tested 2414 samples for COVID-19 during the past 24 hours that took its cumulative figure to 11,40,445.
Meanwhile, with the recovery of 29 COVID patients in the period, the total number of recovered cases increased to 53,831. The state, at the moment, has 338 active COVID cases, including 291 recuperating under home isolation.
Arunachal Pradesh has so far registered 275 deaths since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, altogether 8,686 persons have taken COVID-19 vaccine doses during the last 24 hours across Arunachal that swelled its vaccination coverage to over 11.64 lakh. More than eight lakh balance and unutilized vaccine doses are still available with the state.
