Arunachal logs 302 new Covid-19 cases; death toll mounts to 246

Itanagar: As many as 302 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 50,372.

The death toll rose to 246 as four more patients succumbed to the disease.

Out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the maximum at 78, followed by Lower Subansiri 35, Tawang and Papum Pare 26 each, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services.

Of these, 170 patients are asymptomatic and 132 symptomatic.

According to the bulletin, out of the four casualties, two were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, one each from Lohit and West Kameng.

On the other hand, 372 people were discharged following their recovery from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 47,520. The recovery rate is over 94 per cent.

Active cases tally stands at 2,606.
