Arunachal logs 30 new Covid cases

The day’s positivity rate was 11.58 percent against the previous day’s 7.32 percent.

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh’s Covid-19 cases mounted 66,383 after 30 more persons tested positive for the virus, a Health Department official said on Saturday.

On the other hand, 43 people have recuperated from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 65,884, the State Surveillance Officer-IDSP, Dr. Lobsang Jampa, said.

Now, the state’s active caseload has been trimmed to 203.
Of the fresh cases, eight came from Namsai, four from Itanagar Capital Complex, three each from East Siang and Leparada, and two each from Dibang Valley, Kamle, and Lower Subansiri. One case each was detected in Anjaw, Changlang, Pakke Kessang, Shi-Yomi, Tawang and West Kameng.
Eight of the total cases were found to be asymptomatic and 22 symptomatic.

The day’s positivity rate was 11.58 percent against the previous day’s 7.32 percent.

The recovery rate rose to 99.25 percent whereas the positivity rate dipped to 0.30 percent and the fatality rate remained at 0.45 percent, with a total of 296 casualties thus far.

Arunachal Pradesh has vaccinated more than 18.24 lakh anti-Covid vaccine doses to date.
