Arunachal CM Khandu calls on Union ministers, discuss state issues

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu called on Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rural Development and Pachayati Raj minister Giriraj Singh and Environment and Forest Minister Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi on Tuesday, and discussed various issues pertaining to the state.

“Deeply honoured today meeting Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya ji in New Delhi. A great delight having an audience with Hon’ble Sir during which we discussed on health scenario of Arunachal,” Khandu wrote in a social media post.

Meanwhile, the Union Health minister in a tweet wrote, “Met with Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu ji, and had an interesting discourse on public affairs, including ways to enhance medical facilities to benefit the people in the state.”

It may be mentioned here that the state Health Minister had called on Mandaviya in the national capital on Monday and discussed regarding the establishment of a government medical college in Namsai. They also discussed the Covid-19 situation in the state.

Khandu after meeting the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development said that Pradhan has assured his full support to Arunachal Pradesh for the development of education and skill development sectors.

“Called on Hon Union Minister for Education & Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan ji in New Delhi today. Hon PM has been keen on reorienting education & skill development for New India. Gratitude to the Hon Minister for his assurance to Arunachal for the development of these sectors. Sustainable rural development is vital to the nation’s growth & prosperity,” he tweeted.

During his meeting with Rural Development and Pachayati Raj, Khandu discussed the development of rural infrastructure in the state.

Later, Khandu along with state Forest Minister Mama Natung met Union Environment & Forest minister and discussed forest land issues in presence of Minister of State (MoS) Environment & Forest Ashwini Choubey.

During his meeting with the Union Ministers, Khandu was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.
